Changing or removing a company's corporation is a process that needs to be handled manually by removing any data connections.

If a company is removed from a corporation just by going to Corporations in Control and deleting it from there, it causes issues in the database and this will result in users losing accesses or not being able to use certain features.

Therefore, the following steps need to be followed before removing the company's corporation:

1. check in Control/Employee if users have roles that are on the corporation level, recreate them on the company level and assign them to the users

2. check in Employee --> HR --> Attest groups if the users are part of any attest groups and remove them from there

3. check in Employee --> Administration --> Reporting types if there are time types created on corporation level and then go to Administration --> General and remove them from Absence request; in order for employees to be able to request for absence again, the time types will have to be recreated on the company level and added back to Absence request after the company is removed from the corporation

4. check in Employee if users have staff categories created on the corporation level, recreate them on the company level and assigned them to the employees

If the company is using Employee, then changing roles, attest groups and staff categories can be done through employees import.
