Deviation days are the non-working/public holidays from each country. They can be added manually or generated from a template for a certain country and choosing the specific country and company.

When manually adding a day, the name and the date are mandatory.  Besides these, the day can be set as a public or a non-public one and it can also be set to be applicable for certain staff categories and day types. In order to be able to select a day type, this should be first created in Schedules, under the HR tab.

- applicable for staff category: if no staff category is selected, it will be applicable for all the existing ones

- applicable for day type: you can choose to have a deviation day only for employees having a certain day type or for all day types

- deviation day type: you can choose how the deviation day will be, a free day or maybe a shorter one ( half day )

In the below example, we are adding a deviation day that is going to be applied only for the employees belonging to the staff category called "Employee", that have the work schedule for that day from 08:00 to 12:00 and because we are not choosing "free" for the deviation day type, it means that those employees will have a shorter work schedule and they are going to work only from 08:00 to 12:00 on that day.

Here is the method for generating deviation days from the template based on the country:

When using the template, first you need to select the year you are going to generate the days for and then the country-specific template and the company/companies. Once you click on the template and select the country you will be able to see the days that are going to be added. From there, you can check/uncheck the box for public holiday, remove/add days or change the name.

Please note that in the drop-down list for companies you can see all the companies you have access to. If a company is selected by mistake, the days that are not created yet on that company will get created through the template even though the company is from a different country than the selected template.

A deviation day created can be edited or removed if it is necessary:
